Given the following students’ test scores (95, 92, 90, 90, 83, 83, 83, 74, 60, and 50), identify the mean, median, mode, range, variance, and standard deviation for the sample. SPSS is strongly recommended for this assignment. Directions are attached and tutorials may be found here:

  1. State your results for the sample by inserting a table from SPSS. Highlight the mean, median, mode, range, variance, and standard deviation.
  2. Explain which descriptive statistic is best for this data set. Why?
  3. Conduct a one-sample t-test and interpret the results (use a population mean of 70). Refer to the attached document for clarification.
  4. In what situations would this information be useful?

in 5 paragraph, please talk about how the music industry works to either support or harm the image of sexism in it’s videos and musical lyrics. For example, which musical artists do a good job in portraying men and women in positive ways, which do not. What artists use words and images that you find appealing and attractive when it comes to song and which do you feel use lyrics that are inappropriate and show men or women in a bad light.

Please think about and share all of the differences in how our society has used music for good, or for bad. You can also examine the differences as they have evolved and changed through the years.

I believe assertiveness is important because it allows us take control of any given situation as well as adhere to a set of standards that we set for ourselves. I scored a 40 on the Self-Assessment Assertive Schedule, which seems accurate considering I’ve been told from multiple people that I’m an assertive person.

For example, when COVID started, and people were panicking and buying up everything from the stores; there was an instance where I was buying supplies at our local grocery store. The shelves at this store have no panel in the middle, so you can see the people in the next shopping isle across from yours. In the isle across from mine, I spotted an older lady turn away from her cart to grab something from the adjacent shelf. She had 2 large cases of bottled water already in her cart, that would have required some effort on her part to load into that cart.

While her back was turned, I spotted a younger man 25-30’s run up and take one of the cases of bottled water out of her cart. I immediately ran around the isle to confront him. As he was throwing the case of water into his own cart, I approached him and proceeded to be very assertive with my words and tone. I wasn’t aggressive in the sense of being confrontational, but assertive enough to get my point across. First, about the fact that stealing from a Senior is completely unacceptable; and secondly, that he should take the time to consider someone else’s situation before deciding to put himself in an uncomfortable situation like a fool. Afterwards, I walked with him to return the case of water to the lady.

I know there may be situations where being passive could bear better results, but I’ve known far too many passive people who have been hurt or taken advantage of by others claiming to have their best interest at heart. Since many of our feelings such as love and admiration are positive, assertive behavior can also mean expressing positive feelings. (S.A Rathus, 2019). It’s for this reason I believe that being assertive is almost always a better option than being passive.

Overview: As we’ve seen in this course, researchers have found a strong connection between new and unusual experiences and creativity. Further, Creative Problem Solving methodologies require open-mindedness, the ability to defer judgment, and the ability to view ideas from different vantages The Creativity Assignment challenges you to pursue a new experience and reflect on the experience in order to nurture a creative personality and develop the abilities required to engage successfully with Creative Problem Solving methodologies.

1. New Experience. Choose an experience, song, movie, or food that you’ve never experienced before and try it for the first time. You can choose something you know nothing about or something that you have negatively judged without actually experiencing it for yourself. Whatever you choose, give it a try. In your entry name your chosen new experience, explain why you chose it, and describe the experience. Of course, please be responsible, safe, and make a choice that honours your own well-being and others around you. This section should be the equivalent of two pages double spaced 12 point text (equivalent for those considering a video submission).

2. Reflect Upon Your Experience. In your entry reflect upon the experience by considering a couple of the following questions: How did it make you feel? Did you change your mind about the experience? Did you learn anything valuable? Do you normally try new things or do you find it difficult? How might you work towards opening yourself up to new experiences in the future? How might trying new experiences enhance your creativity? Did you feel that this experience helped you think differently? How do you think this experience will translate toward your ability to be an effective Creative Problem Solver? Be sure to focus not only on the specifics of the experience, but dive into the more meta aspects of how this singular experience might impact your thinking and Creative Problem Solving ability more broadly. This section should be the equivalent of two pages double spaced 12 point text (equivalent for those considering a video submission).

use the following

DEPTH OF INSIGHT: Did the entries strive for depth and include enough detail to facilitate personal learning? Did the entries connect to course themes and material? Did the entries draw upon personal experience or other relevant material to illustrate the observations and to make the responses individualized? Did the student complete every section? Is the Assignment of an appropriate length and effort?

ORIGINALITY: Did the entries strive for forms of novelty that are appropriate for the assignment and educational environment? Did the entries take full advantage of the medium? Did the entries exhibit the use of creative thinking skills? Are the entries unique to the individual? Was the diversifying experience novel?

Definition of Terms

Present a list of terms and definitions that relate to the program, topic, problem, gap, program, and project framework. Suggested length 1-2 paragraphs.

Topic: perceptions of lived experiences of discrimination against African American

Please give each a topic and answer each question please with citations

  • Describe the background for your study and      how your question relates to the background of the study. Discuss previous      studies and demonstrate exactly how your project (answering the question,      applying to practice) will advance the scientific knowledge base on this      topic. Consider the following guidance:
    • Questions should be appropriate for the knowledge gap and current state of knowledge (supporting evidence).
    • Questions are cast using the variables or phenomena under study. The variables or phenomena in the questions are       identical to the variables discussed in the problem and specific theory       gap.
    • Questions are explicit in naming the type of relationship or phenomenon under study.
    • When answered, questions will make a  contribution to theoretical or practical foundations. The contribution to       the academic field and to the theoretical foundation must speak to how       the relationship among the variables or to the phenomenon addresses the       knowledge gap previously identified.

  • As evidenced by the readings, particularly the Bobo Doll Experiment, it is clear that observational learning has a strong impact on children’s development. Do you believe that restrictions should be placed on what children can view, particularly when it comes to violence in media? How much impact does violent media (television, movies, video games) have on children versus violence they might witness at home or in their community?
  • How does observational learning influence your own development today? For example, when you are in a new job, what are you learning by observing your co-workers and/or supervisors? What other examples of observational learning impact your daily life?
